HEAVY SEAS IN PACIFIC

Two Vessels Affected (By Telegraph—Press Association - WELLINGTON, April 22. Heavy weather has been experienced by vessels crossing the Pacific this week. The Maunganui and the Makura have both been affected. The Maunganui was due at Rarotonga on Saturday afternoon from Wellington, but did not arrive till Sunday morning and then could not remain at anchorage or handle her cargo. She has been ordered on to Papeete, where her Rarotonga cargo will be unloaded for rtiturn to Rarotonga by the Cape Horn. The Makura arrived at Rarotonga on Monday, but has not been able to anchor or work her cargo and is unlikely to arrive at Wellington before Tuesday.
