Ebbett—Tingey

St. Alary’s Cathedral, Parnell, with the beautiful decorations of Easter, made a striking setting for an Easter Alonday wedding which took place there, when Joan Helen, daughter of Air and Airs W. H. Tingey, of Golf road, Epsom, Auckland, was married to George Neal, son of Mr G, Ebbett, Southland road, Hastings, and the late Airs Ebbett.

Canon Fancourt performed the marriage and Aliss Beadle, of Auckland, sang a solo during the service, and also sang again at the reception. The bride was escorted up the aisle by her lather, and her smartly fashioned bridal frock of ivory embossed matelasse, was long to the ground in Iront and flared into a fan accordeonpleated train at the back. She wore a pleated coatee with gardenia neck-line. White shoes peeped from the skirt. Iler beautifully tine lace veil was confined to her head with a bend of small ivciy gardenias. Her fragrant arm shower was composed of orchids, begonias end tuber roses in pink and white tunings Her attendant bridesmaids w-.e the Misses Florence Gunn (chief), who wore a picturesque frock of deep petunia, fashioned on long, slim-htfing lines, and Aliss June Ebbett, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a paler shade of petunia. The long bodices of the frocks were heavily ruched back and front, giving a bustle effect at the back. They wore shoes to tone and plaited head bands to tone with the frocks. They carried arm showers of begonias, fuchsias and g cxinias.

Aliss Janet Ebbett was a pretty little flower girl,' frocked the same as the bridesmaids in a paler shade of petunia. She wore a bandeau of flowers to match and carried a bouquet. Air Stanley Small, of Hastings, carried out the duties of best 'nan, and

Mr Herbert Tingey, of Gisborne, was groomsman.

A reception was afterwards held al Hotel Cargeii, where the toast of the bride and bridegroom was honoured.

Mrs Tingey received the guests and was wearing a smart navy blue and dusky pink ensemble and navy hat, and she carried a bouquet ci dusky pink begonias. Miss Al. Ebbett, sister of the bridegroom, wore a brown floral frock with brown velvet cape trimmed with Idland a small brown velvet hat. Her bouquet was composed of flame begonias.

When Air and Airs G. N. Ebbett ieft for the honeymoon tour tho bride was clad in a frock of patterned navy, with cape, hat and shoes to tone.
