BROKERS’ REPORTS

Individual Realisations

STORTFORD LODGE SALE

The Associated Auctioneers report on yesterday’s sale at Stortford Lodge as follows:— A heavy entry of 551) fat cattle came forward, the quality being of a very high standard generally, and the female lines on offer being some of the best that have been auctioned for somo considerable time. Demand was generally well maintained throughout the sale, with a slackening in rates about the middle of the sale, followed by a recovery towards the end of the sale. Store cattle were fairly steady.

Fat sheep, in good supply, showed little change in values, competition being steady at late rates on an entry of average quality. Store sheep met with an exceptionally good demand, breeding ewes realising rates which showed a distinct advance on recent sales, the entry being of a high standard, including several excellent station lines of ewes. Hoggets sold steadily at firm rates.

The individual brokers report as under:—
