An Original Evening Members of the Hastings branch of the Spilt Ink Club met in the Girls' Friendly Society room on Tuesdav evening for the monthly gathering. As usual each person contributed a basket, making an appetising supper, and while this was enjoyed conversation on the subject of writing continued briskly. Another entertaining meeting is anticipated in March, for each member undertakes to write a story of not more than l()0() words.
