By Telegraph Press Association. DUNEDIN, September 17. Mr Peter Davidson, not Dawson, as cabled, who won the piping competition against Scotland’s best at Oban, is aged 25 years. Ho was born and educated ia Dunedin and has taken

part in piping competitions in New Zealand since he was aged 'ten. He won the new Zealand piobaireaehd championship in Dunedin in June, 1933, and left in January last to attend classes in baking at a college in Aberdeen.

He intends to obtain further experience in Canada and return to New Zealand .next year. While in Scotland lie competed with success against the world’s best pipers at the Ellon Games and was second in strathspeys and reels and won tho marches.
