Miss Batten Leaves For
Melbourne

After having led almost as strenuous a life during her eight or nine weeks in New Zealand as she did on her record flight from England to Australia, Miss Jean Batten ''ill leave Wellington to-morrow afternoon by the Maunganui for the Melbourne Centenary.
During her official aerial tour she visited 20 towns and made about 150 speeches. She spent to-day in attending to her machine, which will be stowed on ouo of tho Maunganui’s decks and getting a clearance certificate from the quarantine authorities for her kitten “Buddy,” which has done 60 hours’ flying in New Zealand Miss Batten's future plans are indefinite.
