Big Event to Ventrac A BIG DIVIDEND By Telegraph—Press Association. ASHBURTON, September 15. The spring races were held in fine but cold weather with the track in good order. The attendance was good. The totalisator handled £7,743 10/- for eight races against £6,1(14 for seven events last year. After the -Longbeach Handicap the stewards held an inquiry into a complaint made by Jockey Brodie against Murfitt. alleging interference at the turn into the straight. After hearing the evidence the stewards took no action. An inquiry was held into the running of 'Wild Dreams in tho Selma Trot. The stewards again took no action.
