The report and balance-sheet as read by the secretary were adopted. The balance-sheet disclosed that, tor the first time for many years the club was free of debt and would commence the new season with a credit balance of some £2 15/-. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Rev W. T. Drake; president, Mr J. I). O'Sullivan; secretary, Mr F. W. Holt; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. H. Hill, Dr. Seton Norris, F. Holt, sent., G. H. Hunt, Rev. F. W. Robertson, W. Grainger and C. G. E. Harker; selector, Air R. N. Verran; committee, Alessrs Flynn, Hooper, Knobloch, president, secretary and club captain; club captain, Air R. N. Verran. The matter of tho laying out of the pitch was left in the hands of the committee who were to meet on the ground as soon as possible. Alessrs. Robin and Holt were appointed to represent the club at the annual meeting of the sub-associatiou, and it was decided to enter one team in the association’s competition. The delegates were instructed to support any remit which would prevent players who were unfinancial with their club, from joining and playing with any other club. Mr J. H. Hill thanked the club for the assistance given to school cricket and assured the members that such help was greatly appreciated. Ho asked that his expression of appreciation be recorded in the minutes. Mr Hobin, on behalf of the club, thanked Air Hill for his remarks. file meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair, and to the secretary. THE ANNUAL REPORT The annual report read as follows:— “The club entered a team in the senior competition under the control of tho Central Hawke’s Bay Cricket Sub-Association. Through several ot the leading players leaving the district, or retiring from tho game, the club did not experience the successes it has enjoyed in previous years and it had to call on a large number ot new players. These players, however, aetjuited themselves very well and we were uuiortunate in losing several of our games by the narrowest margins. The competition was won by Waipukurau Old Boys and they are to be congratulated on their victory. ‘ The following players were picked to represent the sub-association during the season: —Alessrs. Hohin, Alustchin and Cox. Hobin was the most consistent batsman during the season but O’Halloran and Cox were responsible for several good scores. Ju the bowling Flynn, Verran and Alustchin were the most successful and they performed very well. J). Knobloch and Alustchin, who were schoolboys, performed very creditably in their first year in senior cricket and with further experience should show distinct promise. “Finance—lt is no doubt very pleasing to members to note tho improvement in the financial position of the club. We are in the fortunate position of being free from debt and having a fair credit balance. This is chiefiy due to tho great assistance rendered to us by an anonymous donor and tho proceeds of a successful dance in which we shared the profits with the lootball end basketball clubs. In connection with this function special mention must be made of the assistance rendered by the committee of the basketball club. Wo desire to thank the following gentlemen for donations; Rev. F. W. Robertson, J. H. Hill, Dr. J. P. Walker, G 11. Hunt, the Post and Telegraph and Fire Brigade teams and the Buffalo Lodge. Our best thanks are due to the Borough Council for tho assistance they have always rendered us.

“Tho prospects for tho coming season appear to be encouraging as several players who did not play last year have signified their intention of again playing. Tho committee’ trusts that all members will endeavour to assist the club by becoming financial as soon as possible, and also assisting in the preparation of the pitch.”
