On the eve of his marriage Mr J. 1' (etcher was met by members and sup* porters of tho Waipawa United Football Club and presented with a handsome silver teapot. Ln making the presentation Mr H. J. Wynn, chairman of the club, referred to the keen interest which Mr Fletcher had always taken in the activities ot the club, particularly as sentor selector, which office he had held during the past season. He hoped that Air and Airs Fletcher would be spared to enjoy many years of happiness, and that Mr Fletcher would still retain hit interest in the club.
“In a presentation of this nature,” said Mr Wynn, “it is not so much the value of the gift which counts, but the expression of goodwill which goes with it, and Air Fletcher can be assured of the sincere best wishes of the members of this club.”
Mr Fletcher suitably responded aud stated that he would always be available t 0 assist the club in any way he could.
