PLUNKET SOCIETY MEETING From Our Own Correspondent WAIPUKURAU, September 18. The monthly meeting of the Waipukurnu branch of the Plunkct Society was held yesterday afternoon, the preside ent, Mrs J. Hobson, presiding over th* following members:— Mesdames F. Dunn, L. Harker, G. E. Gideon, AL Joblin and the secretary, Mrs J. HuntlyWalker. I’lunket Nurse Campbell submitted the following report for the month of August:— Visits to rooms: Waipukurau (adults 142, babies 9t, children Idl, 270; Takapau (adults 40, babies 25, children 22), 87. Visits to homes: Waipukurau 72, Takapau 17. New eases: 1 Waipukurau U, Takapau 1. Normal babies 5; insufficiently fed 1; letters received (I; letters written 0; Karilax sales, 20 lbs; Kariot and Karib sales, 3!) lbs. Cases under care: Waipukurau, 182; Takapau ««. A pur-el of new hand-knitted singlets from the Hatuma Women's Institute iiad been received, for which the nurse was very grateful. Mesdameg Harker and Dunn were appointed visitors to the rooms for th» ensuing month. Accounts amounting to £8 were passed for payment.
