RICCARTON MURDER
Government Doubles Reward (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 11. The Government has decided to increase the reward from £3OO to £6OO for information leading to the discovery and conviction of the murderer of Mr. Donald Fraser, licensee of the Railway Hotel, Riccarton, on November 17 last. Mr Fraser, a married man, nged about •'> years, wns fonnd dead near his bed at his hotel early on the morn ing of November 17 with a bullet wound in his chest. The crime was committed at about 2.30 a.m.. nnd although Mrs Fraser, their son and daughter and two other people were in the hotel at the time no tri of the murderer wn« found, nor were any clues as to his identify. Extensive Investigations were made by the police and a few months ago a lengthy inquest was held, but Io d Ito nothing definite has been determined as to who Mr Vrhscr'g utaihilt.
