McAdam, a Sydney medico and bridge expert, was killed by a runaway car in the city. Dr. McAdam was crushed against a wall, tbc main artery of his right leg was severed and he bled to death in a few minutes. Dr. McAdam was aged 45. He had a distinguished educational career, and saw service on Gallipoli and in France. He was well-known in sporting circles.
