CENTENARY AIR RACE
Flight at Great Height WILEY POST’S HOPES By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright LONDON, August 17 Amy Molffson, in an article in the “Daily Mail,’’ says that Wiley Post is busily preparing the Winnie Mae for an experimental stratosphere flight. He intends to attempt a new world altitude re cord, also a high-altitude flight across America. If successful, Post will adopt the same method in tho Centenary race with the objective of completing the journey in two days. Nevertheless, even If he realises his dreams of 350 miles an hour at 40,000 feet, Post will still need to calculate carefully the time required in climbing to ascertain whether the extra speed compensates, specially on the shorter hops.
