Put on a floured board, form into cakes, and bake in a hnt oven; serve hot cut in half and well buttered. To Was’- Voiles.—Soak for thirty minut/os in warm, soapy w. ter, next wash in clean, soapy water, rinse in warm water, Lay garment on a board, and by slight pulls with the hand, give it its original shape. Hang lengthwise to dry, the ribs running with the line. To iron, always place a damp cloth on the garment and do not have iron too hot. A Homo Made Embrocation for Cold. —Cut up and dissolve two ounces of camphor in half a pint of turpentine. Beat an egg in half a pint of white vinegar, and mix the whole well. This simple but efficacious embrocation must be kept well corked in a bottle. For coughs and colds rub well in the chest. It affords almost instant relief in cases of rheumatism and lumbago. Footballers will find it invaluable in cases of bad sprains. An even more simple, inexpensive, and equally effective remedy f r a cold is to light a piece of camphor tho size of a nut; allow it to burn for a few minutes, then extinguish, and inhale the fumes. Repeat several times during tho day.
