AUSTRALIAN DESTROYERS

Five Lent by Britain ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, December 21. The five British destroyers on loan to the Australian Navy—the Stuart, Waterhen, Vendetta, Vampire and Voyager—arrived at Sydney to-day and made an imposing picture in the harbour. Ihe Stuart’s commander, Captain Lilley, R.N., when interviewed denied the report of discontent and insubordination during the voyage. The Vampire and Vendetta will be placed in reserve for the time being. Their crew s are to be absorbed by other ships, while the other three destroyers will remain in full commission.
