WINOOKA IMPROVING

OTHER HORSES ALSO GETTING BETTER. SEATTLE, August 17. Polson, trainer of Winooka, said tonight that the horse would not be ready to race for another three weeks at least. Winooka was rapidly improving, and was being walked daily and gradually getting rid of the cough. His conditioning, however, will require two and a half weeks, and he will not be ready to meet Onrush a week next Sunday as planned. The two New Zealand horses, Pillow Fight and Tea Trader, will be ready for racing about August 26. Pillow Fight is also stricken by the coughing epidemic.
