EVENING FOR BRIDE-TO-BE
FUNCTION AT TANGOIO A very enjoyable evening was spent at the residence of Mr and Mrs P. J. Jessep, ‘‘White Pines,' recently, when they gave a farewell party to Miss Osborne, of Tangoio, who was recently married. About forty guests were present and while some played cards in the drawing room by a very cosy tiro, the younger members were entertained by the moving pictures. Ono room was arranged for dancing, Mr E. It. Lowe ably presiding at the piano. Much fun was also-found in a ping-pong tournament. At tho conclusion of the evening Mr Jessep wished Miss Osborne, on behalf of those present, good luck in the future. Mr E. R. Lowe thanked Mr Jessep on behalf of the visitors. The evening closed by heartily singing, “For They are Jolly Good Fellows,” and “Auld Lang Syne.”
