DISTRICT NURSING
THE HASTINGS ASSOCIATION, MONTHLY MEETING HELD. The monthly- meeting of the Hastings District Nursing Association was held on Alonday afternoon at Woodford House. Miss Holland presided over Alesdames G. F. Roach, R. Paynter, J. Wilson, F. Glenny, E. Y. Comrie, AV. B. Nicoll, J. Satchell, A R. Greenwood, A. W. Beach, J. Banks, II Boshier, H. Grainger, Berthon Williams, Sister Gladys, Deaconess Holmes, Misses 8. Wellwood, H. Ford, Mrs. J. B. Pickering (hon. secretary), Sister Cooper (District Nurse). Apologies were received from Mrs. Alan Grant and Airs, E. J. Herrick. The nurse’s report read as follows:— Number of patients 50, visits to homes 379, fees collected £lO 14/6. Gifts of cakes had been received from the committee of the Aero Club for distribution by the nurse. The food was most acceptable and appreciated by the recipients, also a box of enkes "from tho Methodist Ladies’ Guild. The visiting committee’s service had been most helpful. Airs. G. F. Roach and Miss Ford were appointed the visiting committee for the ensuing month. Afembcrs brought contributions for the nurse’s emergency box—face cloths, old linen and bandages. After the business of tho meeting was concluded, Aliss Holland entertained the committee at afternoon tea. A unique selection of Chinese needlework art, and pottery- was on view and much admired by- all. Alcmbcrs present much enjoyed the privilege of being shown over the school and seeing the beauty of tho garden, which was a blaze of colour. Deaconess Holmes, on behalf of the committee, thanked Miss Holland for a most enjoyable afternoon.
