Following is the Government Meteorologist’s summary and forecast for the Central,, East and North-East districts for the 24 hours from 9 o’clock to-day: Summary: A moderate anti-cyclone covers New Zealand. The tropical cyclone is now moving south eastward from New Caledonia and is likely to affect the Auckland province after about 24 hours. Barometers are falling over eastern Australia. Forecast: Moderate to strong southerly to south-easterly winds. Weather fair to cloudy at first but rain setting in gradually in the north-east and extending slowly southwards. Temperatures cool. Seas moderate, but later rising. HIGH TIDE. (At Glasgow Wharf.) To-day—s.l6 a.m., 5.49 p.m. To-morrow—6.4 a.m., 6.35 p.m. THE SUN.
