TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
GARDENING CIRCLE. ELECTION OF COMMITTEE. There was a good attendance of members of the Gardening Circle of the Napier Townswomen’s Guild at the Athenaeum Hall yesterday afternoon, when the first meeting for 1933 session was held. Mrs Robert Holt presided, and was accompanied on the platform by Mesdames AV. Ha'vey (circle secretary) and R. C. Wright (circle treasurer). Mrs Holt received seven nominations for the n.ew committee; five to he elected. The committee members elected were; Mesdames R. Holt, AV. Harvey. H. Barnett. Maefarlane and R. C. Wright. The offices of chairwoman, secretary and treasurer are unchanged. Mesdames R. Holt. AV. Harvey and R. C. AVright, respectively being re-elect-ed. The afternoon was filled in with interesting discussions between members as to subjects, talks and demonstrations for future meetings, and an interchange of ideas should help materially to make this circle a very interesting one. The yearly circle subscription of 1/- was received by the treasurer, and the next meeting wil] be on Thursday, April 2.
