SECTIONS FOR LEASE
ADJACENT TO TARADALE ROAD AN INTERESTING EXPERIMENT An interesting experiment is being made by the Napier Harbour Board in the disposal of a block of land of about 21 acres, being part of the Ahuriri Lagoon. The block represents the first section of the lagoon area to be offered to the public, and the demand made for sections on it will be watched with more than ordinary interest. Four sections —three of five acres and one of just over six acres —are contained in the block, which is that triangular piece of land the point of which u> marked by the junction of the Westshore Embankment and Taradale roads. It is perhaps more popularly known for the reason that part of it was used by Wirth’s Circus on its last visit to Napier, The land is not salt, having been built up by washings of silt from the Tutaekuri river, and its close proximity to the Napier borough boundaries gives it a particular interest. The nature of the sections make them particularly suitable for small holdings on which families may become wholly self-reliant. The terms offer the lessees very favourable conditions, as the sections will be available for seven years, with a covenant to grant renewals from time to time for terms of 21 years, the rentals at renewals to be only five per cent, on the value of the land after deducting the value of improvements.
