HASTINGS WOMEN’S LEAGUE
“HAPPY” AFTERNOON. The Hastings Women’s League held their “Happy” afternoon on Tuesday, and also held a sale of work at the Trades Hall. A letter has been received from the Unemployment Board office in Wellington advising the league of a grant of £5O to fce made shortly, and also assuring the women that the money will not be taken from the Hastings men, but will be drawn from the general fund.
