ESTIMATES CONSIDERED. I NO CHANGE IN RATES. The estimates of expenditure by the Waipukurau County Council, for the coming year, as drawn up by the en-gineer-clerk (Mr R. B. Price), were approved by the council on Saturday morning. The rates to be struck are the same as those for last year. Hatuina Riding (unimproved value £260,558). Credit balance, Ist April, 1932. £1677 O/7. Estimated receipts: A rate of j'd in the £ will produce £Bl4 12/2; share of Government subsidy on rates £150; Main Highways Board subsidy on main highways expenditure £1599 12.-; total, £l2ll 5/9. Estimated expenditure as per engineer’s schedule attached: — Napier-Wellington highway. £l4lB 16,'-; WaipukuiauMataman highway, £714; riding roads maintenance. £931; share general expenses, £400; interest and sinking fund loan No. 7, £5O 6/8; total, £3514 2/8.
