YOUNG MAN SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. TWO OTHERS IN SERIOUS CONDITION. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. New Plymouth, Feb. 1. Injured in a motor cycle collision at Inglewood yesterday afternoon, Norman Cedric Drake, aged 21, died in the New Plymouth Hospital last night. Death was the result of a badly fractured skull.
Two other cyclists, Clement George Watson, aged 20, and a voting man named Bilski, also had their skulls fractured, and both are in a serious condition. The collision occurred on a bridge south of Inglewood, Drake being hurled nearly forty feet from the point of impact. William John Stanley, aged 71, formerly an inmate of Turangi Home, Ashburton, died on Saturday evening in unusual circumstances. He was found unconscious in a river-bed and taken to hospital, where he was examined but not admitted. He was then removed to the police station, where he died a few hours later.
