WELL UP IN KING’S FIFTY.
Hawke’s Bay marksmen maintained the province’s reputation amongst the shooting men at Trentham on Tuesday when firing in the King’s Prize match. Among the fifty competitors, F N. McVicar (Waipukurau) had only three men between him and the winning of the Belt, and F. T. White (Okawa) was almost equally as near to winning the coveted prize Ex-champion F. H. James, of Napier, came eleventh in the list, while 11. Nicholson (Napier) came fifteenth, A. Neilson (Hastings) eighteenth, and W. Green (Okawa) twenty-third. Only those who have attended the Trentham meeting know how hard it is to he included in the final fifty.
