As a parting gift to his native town, which he was revisiting after an absence of eleven years, Mr W. Barrington Miller, well known in theatrical circles and now a resident of London, left with trustees the sum of £lOOO to be applied for the advancement of various sports in Gisborne, also trophies to the value of £250, which he had purchased in London as a gift to the local sports bodies.
