The Board of Trade returns show that imports increased £7,597,000, exports £276,000 and re-exports £240,000. The principal increases in imports are: Grain and flour £3,370,000, rubber £1,347,000, raw cotton £803,000: and in exports: coal £1,144,000. The decreases in imports are: Meat £958,000 and in exports cotton yarns and manufactures £2,427,00.
