CHALLENGE SHIELD. ENTRIES BY SATURDAY. The Port Ahuriri Club has accepted an invitation to be represented by eight rinks on the Waircre Club’s green on Saturday. Rinks will be chosen on the ground and Port players are requested to be ready for play at 2 p..m. All clubs in the Centre that intend entering the Challenge Shield competition are required to have thoii challenges in by the Saturday. After these close a ballot will be taken to decide upon the club which will meet the present holders (Waipawa) in the first match. The Port Club has selected four rinks, but if drawn to play Waipawa the Centre will decide which rinks will play. The selector (Mr. C. Plested) has chosen the following :— Crawford.
