H.B. ASSOCIATION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING. The Hawke’s Bay Association's management committee met in Napier last evening. Present: Messrs H. Stephenson (presiding), C. Louisson J. Hawke, R. Spriggs, H. V. Phillips, C. Elmes and M. McLeod (secretary). The Esk Sub-Association advised that its delegates to the association's annual meeting would be Messrs H. Stephenson (management committee) and L. D. Carter. The Sub-Associa-tion expressed its deep appreciation of the kindly interest and consideration that the association had extended towards it during the past season. The Wellington Cricket Association wrote urging that the Town v. Country matches played in Wellington should not be dropped, and asked whether the association, or the players chosen, would hear the travelling expenses to Wellington, the Wellington Association to provide hotel accommodation. If agreeable they asked for a suggestion as to the date of the match. The association agreed that the match should be continued, but that the players chosen should bear their own travelling expenses. November 29 and 30 were recommended as the date of the fixture. • The annual report for presentation to the annual meeting on Thursday evening, September 12, was considered by the members and approved. NO AUCKLAND COACH FOR HAWKE’S BAY. Auckland, Sept. 3. At a meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association to-night, the Hawke’s Bay Association forwarded a request for the loan of a coach for three or four weeks during the coming season. It was decided to reply that the coach would be fully occupied in Auckland. The proposal to send a New Zealand team to England in 1931 was supported provided financial arrangements are satisfactory.
