NAPIER HIGH SCHOOL
OLD BOYS’ DAY. SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. The Old Boys' day at the Napier Boys’ High School was continued yesterday afternoon, when there was a good attendance of old boys and parents of t!ie present school. In the athletic events some good sport was witnessed, the school finally securing the most points, although honours were fairly even. The results were as follows:— ATHLETICS. 100 yards.—Chetwin (O.B.) 1, Findlay (S.) 2, Brown (S.) 3. Time, 440 yards.—Baird (S.) 1, Webber (O.B.) 2, Findlay (S.) 3. 120 yards hurdles.—Brown (S) 1, Baird (S) 2. Chetwin (O.B.) 3. High Jump.—Chetwin (O.B.) 1, Height, sft. lin. 880 yards.—Small (O.B.) 1, Baird /S.) 2. Todd (S.) 3. Time, 2min. 9 3-tisecs. Relay.—School 1. Old Boys 2. TENNIS. The result of the tennis matches was very much in favour of the Old Boys, who were successful in winning everv match. The following are the details. Old Boys’ names being mentioned first:— Singles. Milbum beat Craig, 9—2. Small beat Seeker, 9—B. Simpson beat Eyans, 9—l. Vautier beat Prime, 9—2. Doubles. Small and Webber beat Prime and Craig, 7—5.
