The following are the results of the second qualifying round of the Hastings Club’s Sweepstake trophy competition for Saturday players:—
WAIPUKURAU CLUB. A four-ball bogey match. 18 holes, was played by the ladies of the Waipukurau Club at tho Marakeke links on Saturday afternoon Results:— Miss A. Rood and Miss L. Johnston,, 3 up. Misses Bird and Shorland, 2 up. Miss McKie and Mrs. Hall, 1 up. Miss Sainsbury and Mrs. Munroe, 1 up. Miss Oarlyon and Mrs. McLean, 4 down. Miss G. Rood and Miss M. Johnston, 4 down. The following is the result of the first and second qualifying rounds for men, for the Brett Cup, the first 16 qualifying. The games were played over 18 holes.

Wanganui have challenged for the Wilson Cup, and the match will be played next week-end. BRITISH TITLE TO PERKINS. (Australian and N.Z. Press Assn.l London, May 26. In the amateur golf final. Perkins, who was two up at the end of the morning round, defeated Wethered, 6 and 4.
