UNSINKABLE.

DUTOH LIFEBOAT SAILS.

LONDON TO NEW YORK. (Received 20, 10.45 a.m.) London, March 19. The Dutch unsinkable lifeboat Schuttvaer, 21 feet long, and the result of 18 years’ experimentation, left Westminster bridge for New York, via Spain, with Mr. J. P. Schuttvaer, 70 years old, the inventor, as ceptain. He was accompanied by M. Smit and two shipmates, who waved farewell to cheering crowds on the Westminster bridge and on the embankment. The lifeboat is provisioned for seventy days, which period is expected to cover the full extent of tho voyage. —(A. and N.Z.)
