NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF
A NATION OF SHOPKEEPERS. London, Feb. 21. "We have been sneeringly called a nation of shopkeepers," said the Duke of York at a banquet of sales managers. "Well, there's nothing to be ashamed of in shopkeeping, only in keeping it badly, ill planned, ill managed, poorly arrayed and poorly advertised. It is our job as an industrial nation to keep shop and to keep It better than anyone else and be proud of doing so.”— (A.P.A. and "Sun" cable.)
