THE ASHES.
’ HELD AT RANSOM.
(Received 30, 11.30 a.m.) New York, Aug. 29. Joe Langoue. a Boston undertaker, obtained the ashes of Sacco and Van. zotti from the crematorium. He lock ed them in his safe and declared that he would not release them until a bill for 700 dollars was paid. It had been planned to transfer the ashes to New York to-day, but the proiect had to be bandoned.—(A. and N.Z.)
