(To the Editor)' Sir, —It is a game of life, and what subterfuges us poor mortals stoop ourselves to in the Game of Life. 1 was sorry to read Nat Beamish’s letter in last night’s issue, because when he first started his letters he said, “Go ahead, never mind my feelings.” Evidently the shoe has pinched. But Mr Nat Beamish is so well-known that his friends know his bark is worse than his bite. Yours, etc., NOT UNDERSTOOD. Hastings, 12/7/27.
