NEW YEAR TOURNAMENT
NAPIER AND EAST COAST CENTRE The Napier and East Coast Bowling Centre’s annual New Year tournament will be held on Friday and Saturday, January i and 2. L'iay which will commence at 9 a.m. each day, will take place on the Napier. \Vairej*e and Port greens. Excellent entries, totalling 32, have been received for the tournament. there being seven rinks from Hastings, five from Napier and Port, four from Wairere. three from St. I.conard’s and Waipukurau, two from Havelock North and Bluff Hill and quo from Masterton. BRITISH TOURISTS AT REMUERA. Auckland. Dec. 23. A nine-rink match played between members of the British touring team and local clubs at the Remuera green resulted in a win for the local men on tho aggregate by 186 to 181. Each side won four games and the remaining one was drawn.
