As regards tho hitherto frequent use of undersized balls, the Alarylebone Club has instructed umpires in future to see that the weights and dimensions thereof are correct. For the Hawke's Bay—Wellington representative match, which will be played on Christmas Day. commencing at 2 n.m.. Boxing Day and Monday, December 28, one or two changes are necessary in the Hawke’s Bay team. Neither Mardon nor Mitchell are available for the game, and they will be replaced by 1 lardacre (Scinde) and Vogtherr (Heretaunga). Dolbel (H. 5.0.8. will be twelfth man. The Wellington team will arrive by the mail train this evening. Besides the eleven against Wellington, Hawke’s Bay will be represented in the field during*the holidays by the team which left by the mail train this morning for Nelson in quest of the Hawke Cup. Hawke’s Bay, too, will have an interest in tho Town and Country match at Wellington, having three representatives in M. Beuth, C. Beuth and Ritchie in the Country team. Commencing at 10.30 a.m. on Boxing Day a second match will be played on Nelson Park, the two teams being Post and Telegraph and Scinae second-grade team. Scinde will be represented by Bowland. Champion, Camp, bell, Forsyth, Griffin, Gulbranson. Hughes, Haydon, Parkes, C. Pell, Price, Ryan, Taylor. SATURDAY TEAMS. The following will play for Hastings v. Napier at Napier on Saturday. Play ers leave by 9.30 trains: —S. Geake, -T. Fear, I. Brenton-Rule, J. Symons, T. Beard, W. Webb, E. Fitzgerald:,Grant, North, R. Newdick, C. Lassen. Emergencies: W. Pearson, Tucker. 11.
