THE BUTTER CLUT.
AN AUSTRALIAN PRECAUTION. LIMITATION OF EXPORT. (Received 22, 10.10 a.m.) Sydney, Dec. 22. The Dairy Produce Control Board decided in view of the quantity of unsold butter at present in London and heavy shipments being sent lor war.l lioin New Zealand and Australia, to relieve the anticipated congest-on by withholding in Australia 25 per cent, of production from export from about the middle of January onward. Arrangements have been made with the Commonwealth and associated banks to enable advances similar tc those now made to exporters upon butter actually shipped to be obtained upon the percentage which is withheld.
