On Saturday the Hawke’s Bay Club A team won the Napier section of the third grade Neal and Cloce Cup competitions, beating Nelson Park A by ten games to six. Men’s Singles—W. Syme beat Wakefield, 9—5; Lang-Guthrie lost to Mitchell, 6—9 :1. Mackay beat Redsbaw, 9—5; Wallis lost to Amner, 7—9. Men’s Doubles.—Syme and Mackay beat Wakefield and Mitchell, 9—B; Guthrie and Willis beat Redshnw and Amner, 9—5. Ladies’ Doubles.—Misses Weber and Simpson lost to Misses Fish and McCombe, 3—9; Mrs. Cane and Miss Tennent beat Misses Cato and Hayhow. 9—l. Combined Doubles.—Syme and Miss Tennent heat Wakefield and Miss McCombe, 9—2; Lang-Guthrie and Miss Weber beat Mitchell and Miss Fish, 9—6; Mackay and Mrs. Cane beat Redshaw and Miss Cato, 9—2 ; Willis and Miss Simpson beat Amner and Miss Hayhow, 9—7. Hawke’s Bay: 10 matches, 113 games. Nelson Park: 6 matches, 101 games.
