MOTOR 'BUSES WIN.
UP WITH THE TRAM RAILS. LONDON EXPERIENCE. London, Sept. 23. The London tramways are fighting a losing battle against the motor ’buses. The United Tramway Company announces that it is stripping up the rails between Richmond and Twickenham, owing to the severe, unrestricted competition of motor ’buses, which are not hampered by heavy maintenance charges.
