NO PROSECUTIONS. (Received 2, 10.55 a.m.) Sydney, Oct. 2. The chief secretary, the Hon. C. W. Oakes, announced that there would be no prosecutions arising out of the use of liquor at the artists’ ball, but the matter of framing new regulations giv, ing the police authorities wider powers was being considered seriously and would be brought before the Cabinet.
