The preliminaries in connection with the German loan, undertaken in conjunction with the Bank of England and leading American bankers, are so advanceu that the loan will probably be floated simultaneously afl over the world in a few weeks. The American share has been fixed at a hundred million dollars, and the remainder will be issued m European countries in sterling.
The apportionment to the various countries has not yet been decided. The British quota will probably be in the region of £10,090,000 to £15,000,000—(Reuter.)
An overnight cable from New York stated that six thousand delegates attending the American Bankers’ Association conference in Chicago formally approved the forthcoming 200,000,000 dollar loan to Germany. A committee also recommended that American bankers have nothing to do with financing Russia, so long as the present regime remains in power.— (Reuter.)
