ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A CONSTABLE KILLED. MOTOR COLLISION AT AUCKLAND Auckland, Nov. 14. Constable Richard Todd, single, aged 28, stationed n't Newton, was killed between five and six o’clock this morning at Gieenwood’s corner, Epsom, as the result of a collision between a motor car and a, Chinaman’s cart, th'ie constable being in a taxi, the driver of which, Harry Harden, and another occupant were taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries are not yet known. MOTOR SMASHED BY TRAMCAR. TWO OCCUPANTS INJURED. Auckland November 14. Arthur James Blomfield, a retired chemist, and his wife, were motoring from a side street into Jervois road, Ponsonby. when the motor car got jammed between the tramcar and the cehtje pole of the wire circuit. Tho motor car was crliished like a concertina an dthe tram was considerably damaged. Both Air. Blomfield and his wife were seriously injured, including broken ribs. Airs. Blomfield’s condition is serious.
