Chicago, Nov. 14. The National 'Wheat Council’s production committee, reporting on a programme for a solution of the wheat problem, declared that growers’ profits were jeopardised by consistent overproduction and urged farmers to reduce the total acreage from 62,000,000 to 50,000,000 and advised diversification of crops. The committee also recommended regional conferences to determine reductions of local acreages to co-ordinate with the national programme.—(A. and N.Z.)
