REPARATIONS.
GERMAN AGREEMENT. Berlin, Sept 21. It is reported that a large German building material company has concluded an agreement with French building firms for the reconstruction of the French devastated regions, the German company to supply the materials and settle accounts. The French Government is supporting the scheme, which is likely to employ 150,000 workmen. The French Labour Department has agreed to permit foreign labour, including German, up to 50 per cent, in Northern France.—(A. and N.Z.)
