WEDDING.

HANSON—DUCKWORTH. (Waipukurau Correspondent.) A very pretty wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church on Thursday, when Miss Myra Hanson, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hanson, of Lindsay, \Vaipukurau, was married to Air. Howarth Duckworth, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Duckworth, Nelson Terrace, Waipukurau, and late of Hapton, Lancashire. The church, which was paeKed, was prettily decorated by iriends of tue bride, a bridal bell over me altar being a feature. The bridesmaids were Miss Madge Duckworth, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss nrenda Harrsou, sister of the bride. Both wore pale piuk crepe-de-chine Presses, witu black hats with streamers and carried bouquets. The bride looked charming in a very pretty frock of white crepe-de-chine trimmed with white beads and caught up at each side with pearl ornaments and fastened at the waist with sprays of orange uiossoins, the veil being very prettily embroidered with horse shoes aud true lovers’ knots. She carried a bouquet of camelias. The best man was Air. Sydney Hanson and the groomsman Air. Malcoln Haswell. The bride was given away by her father and the Rev. stace was the officiating minister. The '■wedding March”' was well played by Aliss french. Mrs. Hanson, mother of the bride, wore a navy blue costume and black hat and Airs. Duckworth, mother of the bridegroom, wore a lawn taffeta silk costume trimmed with gold. A reception was afterwards held at Lindsay, where the good health of the newly-married couple was enthusiastically drunk. The happy panlater left for the north, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride’s travelling costume was navy serge with a pretty fawn hat of silk straw, trimme with saxe blue and gold ribbon ai: K uished with a spray of fruit and b< JB i.
