U.S.A. TARIFF.
WOOL RATE REDUCED. Washington, Sept. 12. The Tariff Bill was returned to the House by the conference, which accepted the foreign valuation basis, excepting in a few specified instances. The wool rate, not greasy or washed, was reduced to 31 cents per pound, two cents lower than the Senate figure and six cents higher than the House figure.—(A. and N.Z.)
