THE FIRE FIGHTERS.
U.F.B.A. DEMONSTRATIONS. OPEN AT McLEANPARK. NAPIER. The competitions in connection with the U.F.B.A. demonstration, commenced at McLean Park, Napier, this morning. The weather is sultry and there is a large attendance of firemen and spectators. The arrangements are on a big scale and everything augurs well for the success of the competitions. The competitions started off with the two men coupling event (dry) and the hose and hydrant three men (dressing event). There are large entries in all events and competition is likely to be keen. At time of going to press none of the events had been completed. The Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. G. J. Anderson), was present during the afternoon.
