A BIG PETITION. [’HOUVIDO9BY 88XSJ WMj Auckland, Aug. 10. A petition containing 5000 signatures, including those of 28 country Mayors, was presented to the May or of Auckland asking him to call a public meeting in support of Lie movement to establish a military camp in the Auckland district. The Mayor intimated his sympathy with the movement and promised to acquaint the deputation of his reply at file earliest opportunity.
