SUPREME COURT

NAPIER. ! (Before His Honour Mr. Justice Denniston). THIS DAY. ASHWORTH TO BE RE TRIED. Arnold Ashworth, who was twice tried at the present sitting on a charge of assault with intent to rob — the jury in each instance failing to agree —came before the court again this morning. The Crown Prosecutor (Mr. H. A. Cornford) applied for a new trial at the ensuing sittings of the Supreme Court in Napier. Mr. Dolan, who appeared for the accused, offered no objection, and an order was made accordingly. Bail was allowed as formerly.
